O Messenger of God! If only like the dog of the Companions of the Cave,
I could be in Paradise among your Companions.
Is it right that their dog is in Paradise while I am in Hell?
He was the dog of those Companions; I am the dog of yours!

Translation
Seek a mote of the Prophet's love from God
Seek the anguish of Abu Bakr and Ali from God
The whole of the Nation is from his love
The ebb and flow of the Universe is from his love!

Hypocrisy by Shams Tabriz

When some body calls me bad names it makes me very happy, but I am troubled when some body praises me. Praise should be such that afterwards no denial comes. Otherwise that praise is hypocrisy. Some one who is a hypocrite is worse than an unbeliever.

Surely the hypocrites will be in the lowest reach of fire {4:145}
