A Dervish's Doorstep

A Picture of the shrine of Hazrat Mian Mir (May Allah have blessings on him)
Emperor Jahangir once visited the sufi and was stopped at the doorstep by his devotees.
‘Ba dar-e-dervish darban na bayad,’ Jahangir said to the saint (There shouldn’t be a sentry at a dervish’s doorstep).
Mian Mir replied: ‘Bayad ke sag-e-dunya na ayad’ (He’s needed to keep the worldly dogs away).

Destinations hail sincere seekers

"The search for Truth, for the Truth conscious, for the men of heart, for the Imam of the age, or for the intimate of mysteries, involves no geographical journey. There is a great difference between the voyages of Sindbad and the travels of the seeker after Truth. The ego should attain to a state of self-realization before it embarks on its journey toward Truth. The clearer the mirror of the heart, the easier for it to receive the flashes of Truth. Approach to Allah is though prostration, with your brow brought low. Prostration is here below and connection on high. Divine blessings on the Prophet (May blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) are invoked here and accepted there. The first thing there for is self-reformation, enabling yourself to know what the radiance of Truth really means. Abu Jahl sees the prophet (May blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) but cannot have access to him (May blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), whereas Uways (May Allah be pleased with him) of Qaran has access to him (SAW) although he has never been near him (May blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) physically. Destinations hail sincere seekers after Truth at the very outset".

The true nation

The above picture shows a mother helps her son send off lanterns on the Motoyasu river, beside the Atomic Bomb Dome on Monday to mourn victims of the 1945 atomic bombing of this Japanese city (Courtesy DailyTimes)
The true nations always remember their losses. The reason that I have posted this picture on this blog is that we see many people in Pakistan who are of the opinion that issues like Kashmir should be forgotten. I wonder how can they think like that.
Japanese have not forgotten Hiroshima so far and we are inclined towards forgetting Kashmir
Alas
May be this is the difference between the true and non-true nations
